SPORTS RACING WORLD CUP
MBR972 MKII/ MKIII to run in SR2 Lights
Drivers are Richard Fores and Adrian Cottrell

DONINGTON Race Meeting 26th to 27th August 2000
Richard Fores and Adrian Cottrell will be driving the Braythorn MBR972 MK 2 Rover at the Donington race meeting, after having tested at the circuits of Donington, Silverstone and Mallory Park beforehand. The last test at Mallory on Wednesday will be a shake down for the car, after it has had the new MK3 rear bodywork, rear suspension, and MK3 type of wheel hubs fitted. The new parts are for the new MK 3 version which is the car being built for the start of 2001. If the test goes well it is hoped that the latest designs will be used for the race at Donington, the recently designed rear of the car is easily interchangeable between the MK2 and MK3 versions of the MBR972.
At Donington there will be a strong Rover presence since they are supporting the meeting there and all the car events during the weekend will be Rover themed races.
The MBR972 will be the only car on the grid for the main race of the weekend (which is the Sports Racing World Cup Race), with a Rover connection in the form of its V6 Rover powered engine. With two British drivers at MBR the Team are sure to create a lot of interest for spectators and supporters attending the meeting.
